Outreach & Partnerships
Oxford UMC actively contributes to the community around us.
Food Pantry- Our food pantry serves the community. The food pantry is stocked through the generosity of our members. There are several faithful members who volunteer to serve our brothers and sisters who come to our food pantry each week. The food pantry is open Wednesdays from 1 pm - 2 pm.
Oxford currently partners with the following local community organizations:
The Heights on Huebner - Oxford hosts a weekly prayer and worship service for the residents of The Heights on Huebner. Holy Communion is served on the first Monday of each month.
YMCA - Oxford hosts the YMCA Summer Camps.
San Antonio Christian Family Fellowship- Made up of friends from the Indian community, this group gathers in the Family Life Center for fellowship and Bible study on 2nd and 4th Saturday evenings.
Vacation Bible School - Vacation Bible School (VBS) is our ministry outreach that provides Christian education to children through arts, crafts, and recreation. Each year, our Church selects a fun and interactive learning theme that highlights the truths of the Bible.
Pugh Memorial scholarship - In January of 1998, an academic scholarship was established at Oxford United Methodist Church as a memorial with the specific purpose of awarding educational scholarships for post-secondary school education. The scholarship is intended to provide financial aid to those in need that will allow the student to continue their education or training within the education system, or as additional training towards a productive job.
